I was introduced to Hilary Swank by Mariska Hargitay, the famous actress who stars in the NBC drama series, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Mariska Hargitay and her TV partner Chris Meloni, both Smile Train supporters, had told Hilary all about The Smile Train.

Hilary told me she could relate to our cleft kids because all through school she never felt like she fit in. She was ostracized, isolated and always felt like an outsider.

She was super nice and excited to become one of our supporters. We were very grateful for her help.
