One of our best partner hospitals, Dev Kamal Hospital, is located in one of the poorest places in the world. I went there to thank our partners and let them know how much we appreciated their help and support. They are an amazing bunch of very talented, tireless, selfless doctors, nurses, administrators, social workers, etc. who have devoted their lives to helping the poor. As you can see, they are working under very difficult circumstances and with very limited resources – it was one of the poorest places I have ever been.

When I arrived at the hospital, they gave me the most amazing and overwhelming “welcome” I have ever received in my life.

Afterwards, I got meet hundreds of patients and their families. Some were waiting for surgery and some had already received surgery. It is easy to see from the expressions on their faces which category they were in!

After meeting and thanking the staff and meeting literally hundreds of patients and their families, we went out in the surrounding areas and visited some patient homes. It was inspiring to hear their stories and see how grateful they were for our help.
