I have known Brian for close to 20 years, going back to his time as head of Smile Train. My wife and I have been significant contributors to Smile Train and to WonderWork, having donated over $1-million to the two organizations over that time.
In addition to giving money, we travelled to both India and Africa with Smile Train and WonderWork leadership in order to see firsthand the work they were doing to improve the lives of the most desperate people in the world.
I eventually joined the board of WonderWork, so have first-hand knowledge of the issues involved in the HelpMeSee arbit ration . I can state without question that the allegations against Brian are completely without merit. My wife and I continued to give money to the organization during the period of contention, as we saw firsthand the extraordinary duty and care Brian exhibited in investing WonderWork funds.
In addition to our personal giving, my wife’s company (www.karigran .com) gave 1% of their annual revenue to WonderWork and promoted the charity heavily to their customers.
Reputation being everything, Kari Gran Inc, would not have supported WonderWork without personal knowledge that the charity was well-run, honest, and helping the poorest people in the world.
Brian is an extraordinary individual. He operates with utmost integrity, and has sacrificed his energy and fortune in support of two charities, and in so doing has dramatically changed the lives of almost 2-million people.
I would trust him with my life.
